Africa-Press – Senegal. Senegalese international Sadio Mané scored his first goal with his new club Al-Nassr on Monday in the match of the first day of the Saudi Arabian championship, lost against Al-Ettifaq, 2 -1.

The Senegalese winger, who wore the captain’s armband in the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo, opened the scoring for his team in the fourth minute of play.

Robin Kwamina Quaison equalized in the 47th minute on a handball by Al-Nassr goalkeeper Nawaf Al Aqidi. Moussa Dembelé, former striker for Lyon (French elite), doubled the lead six minutes later.

The former Liverpool (2016-2022) and Bayern Munich (2022-2023) player equalized late in the game, but saw his goal disallowed for an illegal position.

The 31-year-old Senegalese played the entire match.

Al-Nassr will play Al Taawon on Matchday 2 on Friday at 6:00 p.m. GMT.
