Africa-Press – Senegal. Four Senegalese players, Serigne Diouf, Serigne Fallou Diouf, Abdou Aziz Fall and Amara Diouf are in the eleven-type of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) under 17 won by the Lion cubs Friday in Algiers.

This selection was established on Sunday by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), two days after the end of the competition, won by Senegal (2-1) at the expense of Morocco.

Elected best goalkeeper of the tournament, Serigne Diouf is naturally the goalkeeper of this eleven-type. The last Senegalese bulwark which was well illustrated during the tournament, conceded only two goals throughout the tournament. He notably managed four « clean sheets » in the first four games of Serigne Saliou Dia’s men.

To achieve this performance, he was able to count on a solid defense commanded by Serigne Fallou Diouf, also acclaimed.

In addition to being authoritarian in the Senegalese defensive axis, he is also a scorer with two goals in the opening match against Congo (1-0) and in the final against Morocco.

Their midfield teammate, Abdou Aziz Fall, is also in the tournament’s reference team. With mastery and efficiency, he was able to impose himself in the midfield of the Cubs. Fall scored Senegal’s only goal in the quarter-finals before the penalty shootout (5-4) against Burkina Faso.

Top scorer of this 14th edition with five goals, striker Amara Diouf who burst the screen during the competition. He is obviously present in this African selection. The Generation Foot nugget also broke the record for top scorer in the competition held by Nigerian Victor Osimhen with four goals.

Burkina Faso, third in the competition, has three players in the standard team. They are defender Lacina Traoré, midfielder Rachid Ouedraogo and striker and player of the tournament Souleymane Alio.

The squad is completed by Malian players Sekou Koné (midfielder) and Mamadou Doumbia (forward), Nigerian right-back Yahaya Lawali and Moroccan defender Hamid Eid.
