The Confederation of African Football and the Organizing Committee for the 2023 African Cup (COCAN) on Saturday unveiled the competition’s new logo inspired by the national colors of Côte d’Ivoire (green , orange and white) and the cultural and footballing history of the host country., learned APS from the governing body of African football.
CAF notably presented the logo of CAN 2023 scheduled for January 13 to February 11 through a press release, a first in ten years.
In remarks reported by the press release, CAF Secretary General Veron Mosengo-Omba said that the presentation of the logo marks an exciting step in the journey towards the tournament in 2024. “We are aware that we are getting closer to more and more of this great meeting”, he underlined.
CAF and COCAN wanted through this new logo to tell the “beautiful story, the strength and unity of Africa through football, but also the richness and cultural diversity of Côte d’Ivoire,” the source said.
