Lamine Camara from FC Metz (French elite) and Abdoulaye Niakhaté Ndiaye from ESTAC Troyes in French league 2 are part of a list of 25 players selected by the coach of the national football team , Aliou Cissé, ahead of the international friendly match against Algeria scheduled for September 12 in Dakar, APS learned.
The Lions face the Fennecs for their tenth friendly match since 1977. The last friendly meeting between the two countries dates back to 2015, when Algeria won 1-0 at home.
Aliou Cissé made public a list of 25 players marked by the first selection in the A team of Metz midfielder (French Ligue 1) Lamine Camara and Abdoulaye Niakhaté Ndiaye. This list also recorded the return of Edouard Mendy.
Aliou Cissé specified that training will start on Monday and will be open to the press. As well as the Thursday and Friday sessions.
“Although it is a friendly match, it is a meeting that interests us for the preparation of the next 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast,” he said.
