Africa-Press – Senegal. Several Senegalese internationals distinguished themselves this weekend in Europe by being decisive with their club, thus giving a revival of form to certain Lions in this last line of the European championships.
In Italian series A, the Salernitana team drew 1-1 on Sunday against the leader Naples, thanks to a 12th goal from Senegalese striker Boulaye Dia, thus delaying the coronation of the Neapolitans, on the occasion of the 32nd day.
With 18 points ahead of the second, Lazio, the Neapolitans (79 points) just needed a victory to formalize the third coronation in the history of Naples in Series A.
By equalizing in the 84th minute on a magnificent achievement, after Naples opened the scoring on the hour mark, Boulaye Dia put a cold snap in the bays of the Diego Armando Maradona stadium where 54,000 spectators were ready to celebrate the title at home.
The other Senegalese who made people talk about him this weekend is Nicolas Jackson, a member of Villarreal in the Spanish Liga. The young midfielder scored twice (2nd and 18th min) in his side’s victory (3-1) against Celta Vigo.
In the French Ligue 1, Bamba Dieng, in bad shape since his arrival in Lorient, scored his team’s third goal at the Parc des Princes against Paris Saint-Germain (3-1), on the occasion of the 33rd day.
In Angers, Ibrahima Niane scored his team’s second goal in the defeat against Rennes (4-2).
In the French Ligue 2, Henri Saivet scored his sixth goal of the season with Pau in the defeat (3-2) against Nîmes.
