The President of the Republic Macky Sall decided, on Sunday, in Dakar, to grant a special bonus of 10 million CFA francs to each of the players of the national football team who won the Cup. of African Nations (CAN) under 17 (U17), as well as to the members of the delegation.
“By welcoming you to the Palais de la République, I wanted to offer you as an example to our youth, of whom you are now becoming a source of inspiration in the quest for excellence. You have made history. You have honored the Senegalese Nation. This is why to say thank you to you, I have decided to grant you and the members of the delegation a bonus of 10 million CFA francs,” he announced.
Mr. Sall made this decision when he received the Cubs U17, winners of the CAN in the category, in the banquet hall of the Presidency of the Republic.
Congratulating and encouraging the young champions, the Head of State asked them to « stay focused on future objectives with the same determination and the same winning culture ».
“I wish you to become great professionals in the best championships and to move up to the national A team for more performances, cups and more bonuses,” he said.
In the meantime, the U17 World Cup is ahead of you, we trust you to represent Senegal with dignity,” said President Sall.
