The President of the Republic, Macky Sall, has entrusted the Ministry of Livestock and Animal Production and that of Sports to the Prime Minister, Amadou Ba, two portfolios that the latter will combine with the functions of head of government, learned the APS of the Senegalese presidency.
Un communiqué de la présidence annonce qu’il ‘’est mis fin aux fonctions’’ d’Aly Saleh Diop et de Yankhoba Diatara, qui dirigeaient respectivement ces deux ministères.
Ce réaménagement ministériel survient après que le leader de Rewmi, Idrissa Seck, a remis ce lundi sa lettre de démission de la présidence du Conseil économique, social et environnemental (CESE) au président de la République. Il en avait fait l’annonce, samedi, à Thiès (ouest).
The former Prime Minister had declared that he wanted to leave it to the two leaders of his party who were members of the government to remain there or to resign.
He had however announced that his political formation, Rewmi, was going to leave the presidential coalition, Benno Bokk Yaakaar.
Après avoir fait élire Macky Sall au second tour de la présidentielle de 2012, Idrissa Seck avait fini par devenir l’un de ses principaux opposants, avant de lui apporter de nouveau son soutien en 2020. A la faveur de ces retrouvailles, il était nommé président du CESE en novembre 2020 et avait réussi à faire entrer deux membres de son parti, Aly Saleh Diop et Yankhoba Diatara, dans le gouvernement.
