Africa-Press – Senegal. The Brazilian team Corinthians eliminated, on Thursday, in the semi-finals, the Generation Foot Academy of the Blue Stars/FIFA Youth Cup 2023, a youth club tournament whose 83rd edition takes place is held in Zurich, Switzerland.
The Brazilians won with a score of 4 goals to 2 on penalties, after a goalless draw at the end of regulation time.
Housed in group A, Generation Foot had beaten FC Basel (2-0), the defending team, during its first outing, then Olympique de Marseille (1-0), before losing its third match. , 3-0, against, FC Zurich.
On February 24, the club won the international U19 tournament organized by the Mohammed VI Academy in Salé (Morocco), winning by 1 goal to 0 against Fath Union Sports (FUS) in Rabat.
Sixteen teams, including eight men, take part in the Zurich tournament. For each category, the participating teams are divided into two groups.
Group B consists of Liverpool FC, Grasshopper Club, Zurich Corinthians and Sao Paulo FC Blue Stars.
