Senegalese internationals Keita Baldé Diao from Spartak Moscow (Russian D1) and Alfred Gomis from Stade Rennais in France have joined, respectively, RCD Espanyol (Spanish D2) and FC Lorient (French elite), under form of loan, in the last hours of the 2023 European summer transfer window, APS learned, on the social accounts of their destination clubs, Friday.
The 2023 summer transfer market, opened on June 10, closed on Friday evening.
It was a few hours before the transfer window closed that Keita Balde Diao found a base. The former Cagliari player in Italy (2021-2022) signed on loan with RCD Espanyol, for one season with a non-obligatory purchase option.
The Senegalese footballer born in Spain played four seasons (2013-2017) at Lazio Rome (Seria A) and another four years (2017-2021) at Monaco, in the French Ligue 1. The 2023 African champion with Senegal joins one of the rival teams of his training club, FC Barcelona.
His compatriot Alfred Gomis, returning from loan to Como (Italy, Serie B), signed another one-year loan without purchase option at FC Lorient. The 29-year-old Senegalese goalkeeper finds, among the Merlus, Bamba Dieng, the Lions striker.
The Senegalese left-back of AC Milan (Serie A), Fodé Ballo Touré, should sign with the English club Fulham (Premier League), announced the Italian journalist specializing in player transfers Fabrizio Romano.
