Africa-Press – Senegal. Senegal’s men’s volleyball team lost on Wednesday against Rwanda (3 sets to 0), in their second group match at the 2023 African Championship (1st-14 September) which is played in Cairo, learned the APS of the Senegalese Volleyball Federation (FSV).
The Rwandans won the three sets of the match (21-25,16-25,17-25).
The Lions also lost Tuesday in their first match against the Moroccans, who beat them 3 sets to 0 (17-25, 21-25, 12-25).
Senegal is housed in the group which it also shares with Gambia, which it will face on Thursday for its second group match.
Senegal has never taken part in the Olympic Games and the Volleyball World Championship. He only boasts of four participations in the African championship. The Lions took fourth place in 1976 and 1979.
Twenty countries are taking part in the 24th edition of the African Volleyball Championship. Tunisia’s team is the most successful on the continent, with 11 trophies.
