
Africa-Press – Senegal. Doctor-Colonel (F) Fatou Fall, has been elevated to the rank of brigade doctor-general by the Head of State, Macky Sall, announced on Tuesday, the Minister of the Armed Forces Sidiki Kaba .
« The head of state has appointed the doctor-colonel, Fatou Fall, to the rank of doctor general », he declared in particular on the sidelines of the installation ceremony of the chief of general staff of the armies, Mbaye Cisse.
The minister hailed a « historic decision », pointing out that it is the first time since independence that a woman has been appointed general.
Doctor-Colonel Professor Fatou Fall was hired in 1985.
She graduated from the Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar in 1992, indicates her biographical note of which the APS has knowledge.
She obtained the Certificate of Special Studies in Hepatology and Gastroenterology at the University of Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire) in 2002.
Fatou Fall is Professor of Hepatology and Gastroenterology (Ecole du Val-de-Grâce in Paris) in 2012.
Head of the hepato-gastroenterology department at the Principal Hospital in Dakar (Senegal). She is a member of the Senegalese Society of Gastroenterology and Hepatology (SOSEGH), a member of the African Society of Hepatology and Gastroenterology and of the French Society of Gastroenterology.
