Africa-Press – Senegal. La direction du Centre hospitalier régional El Hadj Ibrahima Niass (CHREIN) de Kaolack est en train de finaliser son projet d’établissement d’un coût estimé à environ six milliards de francs CFA pour la période 2023-2027, a appris l’APS.
”We are in the process of finalizing our 2023-2027 establishment project with a total cost of almost six billion CFA francs and of which the State is the main donor through the Ministry of Health and Social Action’ ‘, affirmed Khadidiatou Sarr Kébé, director of CHREIN.
In addition to this « flagship project », there is also another intended for the construction of a « head and neck pole » which is being finalized thanks to the support of the State of Senegal which endowed the hospital with an investment grant that made it possible to build this infrastructure which will bring together three services including odontology, ENT and stomatology, » she explained.
She said this on Monday when she received the « Senegalou Niep » Association (Senegal of all, in Wolof) which offered the regional hospital a 40-foot container containing several pharmaceutical products and medical equipment, a value of 25 million CFA francs.
”Nous pensons que cet hôpital, qui peut aller de l’avant, parce qu’il a une marge de manœuvre énorme, est de fait un établissement public de santé de niveau 3 (EPS 3), même si dans les textes il est de niveau 2’’, a fait valoir Khadidiatou Sarr Kébé.
Elle estime que le CHREIN a des potentialités qui lui permettent de pouvoir progresser pour offrir aux populations des soins de qualité accessible. ‘’C’est le leitmotiv du président de la République Macky Sall qui nous exhorte à faire des hôpitaux des havres de paix et non des milieux de dispersion’’, a-t-elle indiqué.
”Nous travaillons tous avec madame le ministre de la Santé et de l’Action sociale à améliorer cette offre de services pour qu’elle soit de qualité mais aussi accessible aux populations’’, a rappelé Mme Kébé.
