“To date, we are at 11,001 head of sheep that have entered the department of Ziguinchor while Tabaski’s sheep needs are estimated at 18,000 head. So there is still a gap of 7,000 sheep,” noted Mr. Sonko, in an interview with the press.
The department of Ziguinchor registers on average the entry of about ten trucks per day.
“The lowest price is 130,000 CFA francs and the highest 350,000 CFA francs,” explains the head of the departmental service for livestock and animal production in Ziguinchor.
