Africa-Press – Seychelles. Alexandro Lesperance is convicted of robbery

Alexandro Lesperance, 38, from Marie Jeanne Estate, Praslin, was formally charged before the Praslin Magistrate’s Court yesterday morning in a case of theft, which occurred in a pharmacy on Praslin during October 2025.

After the court read the charges against Lesperance, he indicated that he will defend himself, and is ready to plead guilty to the offense of theft of 14 gasoline.

For robbery, Lesperance was sentenced to four years in prison. The Magistrate imposed an additional sentence of 5 years and 6 months in prison for other offenses including a fine he had not yet paid, for committing new offenses while his sentence was suspended, and for breaching orders and conditions previously imposed on him by the Magistrate’s Court.

This means that the sentence is 9 years and 6 months in prison. But the court has ordered that his sentences run concurrently, which means he will serve 5 years and 6 months in prison.

Darius Marie charged with two misdemeanors

Darius Marie, 25, from Côte d’Or Praslin, was formally charged before the Praslin Magistrate’s Court yesterday morning. This is for the offense of indecent act and criminal trespass. Marie committed the offense on November 23, 2025, in the Côte d’Or area.

Police informed the court that Marie had recently been released in September 2025, on a suspended sentence for the same type of offence, where she was not supposed to commit any offense during that period of time. This means that he has broken the orders and conditions that the court had imposed on him.

The magistrate remanded Marie to Montagne Posée prison.

Nathan Michel is charged with two misdemeanors

Nathan Michel, 19, from Belle Vue, La Digue, has been formally charged before the Ile Du Port Magistrate’s Court, Mahé in two cases. This is for the offense of entering a house with the intention of attempting to steal.

Michel is being remanded to Montagne Posée prison after he failed to honor the conditions imposed by the Magistrate’s Court. This includes paying a bail of 8 thousand rupees for his provisional release.
