The project involves the complete demolition and reconstruction of the Kingsgate House building, replacing it with a modern, purpose-built commercial hub designed to meet the evolving needs of businesses in Victoria.
For more than half a century, the iconic Kingsgate House on Independence Avenue, close to the Bicentenary Monument, has remained a prominent feature of the area, undergoing minor renovation works in 2007. Despite those interim upgrades, the building had surpassed its original design life, meaning it no longer met modern standards in terms of layout, services and energy efficiency.
