Africa-Press – Seychelles. The Minister of Transport, Ports and Civil Aviation, Ms. Veronique Laporte, received the Ambassador of the French Republic to the Republic of Seychelles, Ms. Anne Tallineau, in audience on Tuesday. Ambassador Tallineau was accompanied by Ms. Charlotte Wartel, Chargé d’Affaires at the French Embassy.

The discussions focused primarily on ways to further strengthen cooperation of common interest, particularly in the area of ​​air and port services between Seychelles and France.

At the heart of the discussions, Minister Laporte thanked France for its firm and unwavering support to Seychelles in its efforts to strengthen maritime security and ensure effective monitoring of its exclusive economic zone.

Also present at the meeting were: Mr. David Bianchi, Principal Secretary of the Department of Ports and Civil Aviation; and Ms. Vanessa Marie, Executive Director to the Minister. Ms. Nathanielle Soomery, Senior Project Officer for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Transport, Ports and Civil Aviation, and Mr. Davis Mathiot, Second Secretary in the Bilateral Affairs Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora.
