Africa-Press – Seychelles. Gareth Mounac to represent Seychelles in China
The final round of the 2025 ‘Chinese Bridge’ Chinese Proficiency Competition was successfully held last week at the University of Seychelles. The winner was Gareth Mounac, followed by Jade du Preez and D’Offay Esther in second place while three other participants came in third position namely Irene du Preez, Naisha Surman and Pamela Denis.
Fifteen contestants who had advanced through the preliminaries participated in the event organised by the Confucius Institute. This year’s event marked a significant evolution of the competition – from a simple singing contest to a comprehensive showcase of Chinese language and cultural talent.
