Aeroflot flights start anew

Africa-Press – Seychelles. An A300 Airbus is expected to land at the Pointe Larue International Airport at 11:25am today following Seychelles decision to resume Aeroflot flights.

This is a decision made jointly by the Ministry of Transport and the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA).

It follows intense talks and negotiations with the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), Russia, and other stakeholders during the 41st session of the ICAO Assembly in Montreal, Canada.

It is expected that this resumption will bring a boost to the tourism sector and the overall economy of the country, given that Aeroflot carried a total of 32,630 passengers since it resumed its flights to Seychelles on April 2, 2021 up until its last flight on March 5, 2022.

The flights are subject to requirements and must comply with ICAO conventions.
