Africa-Press – Seychelles. 11 young athletes leave for Mauritius today
With the aim of giving our young athletes maximum early international exposures, thus preparing them as the next generation of elites, a team of 11 track and field competitors leave the country today to take part in the Mauritius U-20 Pepsi Black National Championships, scheduled for June 15, 17 and 24 at the Maryse Justin Stadium, in Réduit.
The athletes – seven girls and four boys – are being accompanied by coaches Giovanni Fanny and Joseph Adam, while Monica Samson is the team manager.
They are Naomi Toussaint (100m), Leah Pool (200m, 400m), Chloé Joubert (triple jump), Emmanuella Larue (100m, 200m), Mary Dubel (400m), Angela Calva (100m, 200m), Jamelah Gonsalves (400m), Shane Fred (400m), Jerold Alexis (100m, 200m), Neil Azemia (400m) and Don Wirtz (hammer throw).
The team are expected back in the country on June 26.
