Africa-Press – Seychelles. A boat has been arrested with more than 100kg of tortoise meat on board and the captain and skipper were to appear in court yesterday.
The arrest took place on Saturday November 12, 2022.
According to reports, the boat was full of tortoise meat, some already in the process of being salted.
President Wavel Ramkalawan confirmed the arrest in a press conference on Sunday at the Seychelles International Airport on his return from the COP27 conference, in Egypt.
