Concerns Over St Agnes Chapel After Viral Video

Africa-Press – Seychelles. Concerns raised over state of St Agnes Chapel following viral video

A recent video circulating on social media has sparked public concern over the current state of the renovated St Agnes Chapel, located at the entrance of the former Fiennes Institute at Roche Caiman. The video shows that the historic chapel, built in the early 1900s during the colonial era, is being accessed by trespassers and is allegedly being used for illicit activities.

According to the communication officer of the Anglican Church, St Agnes Chapel, which belongs to the Anglican Diocese, has not been officially handed over to the Church following its renovation. The building, which had fallen into disrepair for years, was previously a place of worship for the residents of the Fiennes Institute before their relocation to the elderly home at North East Point Hospital in 2005.
