Africa-Press – Seychelles. An accreditation course for correctors / examiners of the Diplôme d’Etude de la Langue Française (DELF) A1, A2, B1 and B2 tests began this week at the Alliance Française of Seychelles. It is a collaboration of the Alliance Française des Seychelles and the Ministry of Education.
This course, which takes place from August 29 to 31, 2023 at the premises of the Alliance Française, is led by the DELF accreditation trainer for the Seychelles, Ms. Zitabella Labiche.
This three-day course is offered to secondary French teachers, public and private, secondary post and inspectorate within the Ministry of Education. This is the third course this year. This time, there was the participation of eleven teachers who were unable to participate at the beginning of this year.
With the evolution of tests and correction scales, it is imperative that teachers are up to date with these changes. The aim is to increase the number of teacher examiners/correctors and thus facilitate the taking of the DELF oral exams, in particular the DELF Scolaire. It is important to note that to assess the candidates, the examiners / correctors must have a valid clearance, which is the reason for this course.
After this authorization, participants will be able to participate in DELF exam sessions as examiners/markers. They will receive a certificate valid for five years which will allow them to practice within the framework of the sessions organized by the DELF-DALF examination centres.It was the director general of the Associated Services Division, Mr. Cyril Pillay, who launched this course to accredit correctors / examiners.
The Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française (DELF) is a diploma awarded by the French Ministry of National Education. It validates the level of mastery of French as a foreign language of the candidate in the following linguistic skills: written and oral expression, written and oral comprehension. It is a diploma recognized worldwide and valid for life.
