Africa-Press – Seychelles. Emirates suspends Seychelles-Madagascar flights amid political unrest in Madagascar
The Seychelles Airports Authority has confirmed that Emirates has suspended its Seychelles-Madagascar-Seychelles route until further notice, due to escalating unrest in Madagascar’s capital, Antananarivo.
In a notice issued yesterday, the Seychelles Airports Authority (SAA) announced that the suspension, which takes effect today, applies specifically to flights EK707 and EK708 operating between Seychelles and Madagascar. According to the SAA, flight EK707 arriving from Dubai will remain on the ground in Seychelles and later depart as scheduled at 11.50 pm local time back to Dubai as EK708. The authority said the cancellation would remain in place until Emirates provides further updates on the situation in Madagascar.
