The first phase of the Ex -SACOS housing project at Remise, Anse Royale which received its 24 families last Friday, has cost the government the sum of R21.5 million to build.

Work started on the project in March 2019 and was completed in December last year.

It comprises eight units of two bedrooms and 16 units of three bedrooms.

Meanwhile the government remains committed to realising other housing projects earmarked for the Anse Royale district as well as other districts around the country as the demand for decent housing continues to increase.

Other projects expected for Anse Royale as and when funding becomes available include Ex-SACOS Phase II comprising another 24 units, Remise Phase II (32 units) and Cap Bonm Jean (72 units).
