Africa-Press – Seychelles. Press has learned the passing of former member of the National Assembly, Marc Volcere, which occurred yesterday.
The former member of the National Assembly (MNA) for Grand Anse Praslin was first elected in 2007 for the then Seychelles People’s Progressive Party, which is now the United Seychelles party.
Other than his illustrious political career, Mr Volcere is known for his active role in his district’s Anglican choir.
On Monday, there was an appeal for blood donation to support Mr Volcere, who was battling cancer.
According to Alvin Grandcourt, who was leading the drive, the response was positive.
