Africa-Press – Seychelles. Liam’s Rainbow Foundation has received a donation of R62,000 from the Freemasons of Seychelles.
The handover was during a short ceremony recently at the Bambous River Lodge.
This was in the presence of the organisation’s founder and chairperson, Erica Rangasamy, patron, First Lady Linda Ramkalawan, vice-chairperson, second Lady Stella Afif, secretary Diana Payet, and executive member, Angy Leiss, and members of the Masonic fraternities in Seychelles, accompanied by their wives and partners.
Speaking on behalf of the Masonic Fraternities in Seychelles, Robert Morgan said the donation was for a good and noble cause as it would benefit the children of Seychelles who are facing many hurdles in dealing with the insurmountable challenges of life-threatening diseases.
He wished Liam’s Rainbow Foundation all the success in its mission.
For her part, Mrs Rangasamy extended her deepest gratitude for the generous donation.
She stated that the contribution will make a lasting impact on the lives of children living with a critical illness and having treatment on a regular basis.
The contribution will be dedicated to the construction of a playhouse within the premises of the Victoria Hospital for the children undergoing treatment.
