Health Ministry Suspends MRI Services Temporarily

Africa-Press – Seychelles. The Ministry of Health wishes to inform the public that the MRI machine is currently undergoing urgent repair as of yesterday, April 24, 2026.

Repairs are expected to be completed within approximately two to three weeks. During this period, MRI services will be temporarily unavailable.

Patients who already have appointments for MRI scans are advised not to attend their scheduled appointments until further notice. They are kindly asked to wait for the announced repair period, after which they may contact the X-ray department for a new appointment date.

Patients with new referrals for MRI scans will also be asked to wait until the machine is fully operational before an appointment can be scheduled.

The Ministry of Health will issue a further announcement once MRI services have resumed.

The ministry sincerely regrets the inconvenience and delay in access to this important diagnostic service caused by the breakdown, and thanks the public for their understanding and cooperation.
