Africa-Press – Seychelles. Global inflation for the month of December 2022 was 1.19%, with imported products building up 0.71 percentage points, that is 60%.
If compared to the month of December 2021, there is a deceleration of 1.08%.
According to the wholesale price index (IPG) report, published by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), referring to the month of December 2022, national products contributed with 0.48 percentage points (40%) of the global value of inflation.
Inflation for domestic products in December 2022 was 1.90%, with the manufacturing industry contributing 1.11 percentage points to price changes.
Still according to the document, the accumulated variation of national products was 28.28%, last December.
In the list of products, soda (0.57pp), beer (0.26pp), wheat flour (0.04pp), beef (0.02pp), cement, powdered milk and frozen mackerel ( 0.01pp) each.
The inflation of imported products, in the month in reference, was 0.95%.
The manufacturing industry with 0.88 percentage points, contributing to the price variation in this category.
Imported products such as wheat flour (0.11pp), pork (0.09pp), frozen chicken (0.07pp), carbonated drinks and cane sugar (0.05pp), long white rice (0.05pp) contributed to inflation. 0.04 pp), beer, wine and soybean oil (0.03 pp), beef and corn meal (0.02 pp), pasta, margarine, whiskey, chorizo (0.01 pp), among others .
