Primary, secondary and post-secondary school students who took part in different categories of the ‘Moment of Creativity’ competition, received their prizes in a brief ceremony that took place at the National Theatre, Mont Fleuri.
The awards were in the categories of comedy, history, theater, dance, best actor/actress, best school and best among the best.
The prize for the best primary and secondary schools went to the Beau Vallon school and post-secondary went to the Seychelles Business Studies Academy (SBSA).
Best actress for the premiere is Grace Nesta from Mont Fleuri school and best actor in the same category is Rami Nanon from Beau Vallon.
Second best actress Rhy-Anne Vel (Beau Vallon) and best actor Rahim Jeannie (Plaisance)
Post-secondary prizes for best actress and actor went to Anee Kit (SBSA) and Fabien Jeanne (SITE).
Hushna Margrite received a special prize.
The other prizes were as follows: The prize for singing in the primary category went to La Digue school; secondary for Plaisance and for post-secondary SIT.
The history prize went to Pointe Larue in the primary category; Perseverance for secondary and SBSA for post-secondary.
The theater prize went to Beau Vallon school in the primary category; Beau Vallon for secondary and SBSA for post-secondary.
The award went to Anse Boileau school in the primary category; Plaisance for high school and NIHSS school for post-secondary.
There will also be a medal presentation and a small gift sponsored by H Savy Insurance.
During the ceremony, there were also storytelling performances, including traditional and Creole songs by children and young people.
‘Moman Kreativite’ is a special location for students, young and old, to gain more ground to show their artistic talent. It is a moment where future actors, singers, dancers, singers, musicians and storytellers are discovered and have the opportunity to make their debut on the stage.
This presentation took place in the presence of the main secretary for Culture Cecile Kalebi and the main secretary of education Merna Eulentin, among other officials in these two ministries.
