“Children are a precious gift that we have received and that is also a blessing in our lives. Children need to be kissed, caressed and given all the love.
“The national allowance for children I want to remind especially the adults who are parents, either biological or not, to reflect strongly on this precious gift that we have been blessed with.
“Childhood is a time of innocence, love, joy and friendship. It is a time where children play, learn, develop, gain good values, make friends and more importantly form their own characteristics and personality. As adults, let’s unite and together let’s make a renewal to protect and ensure the well-being of children.
“Let’s unite, it doesn’t matter if you’re a parent or not, your political or religious affiliation, if you’re a public or private worker, if you have a role to enforce the law or not, it doesn’t matter if you’re a teenager or a thirteen-year-old, The protection and well-being of children is also our concern!
“Together let’s make a commitment to put in place and strengthen measures and structures for prevention and also to react more quickly and in a more effective way when there is crime, violence, cases of neglect and exploitation of children.
“Let’s protect our children against all kinds of dangers that often happen in the yard: a place where children are supposed to be holy and safe.
“Children remain at the center of our national motto ‘my family, my heart, together let’s children remain children.’ Together we remain the defenders of the rights of all children in Seychelles. Let’s remain the protectors of all children in Seychelles. Parents, let your heart continue to beat for your children.
“To all the children in Seychelles, happy birthday! Keep the good values and let those values such as love, compassion, tolerance and know how to live transform them into the good citizens that our Seychelles needs for a better tomorrow.
