Africa-Press – Seychelles. The President of the Republic of Seychelles, Mr. Wavel Ramkalawan, sent a message of condolences to His Majesty, King Mohamed VI following the earthquake in Morocco.
The President’s message reads:
“On behalf of the Government and people of Seychelles, as well as on my own behalf, I extend my most sincere condolences and deep sympathies to you, as well as to the Moroccan people, and in particular to those affected and the bereaved families, following the devastating earthquake that hit your country.
News of the earthquake and its tragic consequences has reached us here in Seychelles, and we stand in solidarity with you during this time of great pain and loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost loved ones, as well as those who have been injured or displaced by this natural disaster.
The strength and resilience of the Moroccan people have always been admired, and I am confident that the Kingdom of Morocco will overcome this difficult period and rebuild stronger than before. It is during such trials that the true character and unity of a nation is revealed, and I have no doubt that the Moroccan people will support each other with courage, resilience and compassion.
During this trying time, please be assured of the unwavering support and friendship of Seychelles. »
