The leader of the opposition, Sebastien Pillay, has expressed his disappointment over the decision taken by the National Assembly Speaker, Roger Mancienne, to disallow him from addressing a communique issued by the Speaker on Saturday on behalf of the National Assembly, regarding its position on a foreign news article circulating on social media that references a parliamentary group supporting Israel.
Honourable Pillay made the comment during a brief press conference yesterday afternoon at the United Seychelles (US) headquarters, Maison Du Peuple. According to him, Speaker Mancienne had instructed deputy Speaker, Honourable Gervais Henrie, who was chairing yesterday’s session, to forbid him from addressing Monday’s communique.
