New WHO resident rep to Seychelles accredited

Africa-Press – Seychelles. The new resident representative for the World Health Organisation (WHO) to the Republic of Seychelles, Dr Rex Mpazanje, has been accredited.

He presented his credentials to the Minister for Health, Peggy Vidot, in a ceremony held at the Red Roof Building on Thursday afternoon.

Minister Vidot welcomed Dr Mpazanje and congratulated him on his new role and expressed her anticipation for the continuity of good collaboration that exists between Seychelles and the WHO.

Minister Vidot thanked the WHO for all the support extended to Seychelles – Ministry of Health especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

On his part, Dr Mpazanje applauded the Seychelles government in managing the Covid-19 pandemic exclusively with the remarkable effort with the vaccination campaign.

Dr Mpazanje stated that he is ready to continue the work that his predecessors have started and that the Ministry of Health can count on his full support.

To conclude the ceremony, Minister Vidot reassured Dr Mpazanje that she will be at his disposal for any assistance and wished him success for many years to come in his tenure in office.
