Africa-Press – Seychelles. The President of the Republic, Monsieur Wavel Ramkalawan, will return to Djerba, in Tunisia, to participate in the 18th Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the International Organization of the Francophonie, under the theme: “Connectivity in diversity” – the digital vector of development and solidarity in the francophone space. »

This summit, which has been postponed many times, for various reasons is organized as part of the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the creation of the Institutional Francophonie, and to reaffirm the global ambition of the French language, which currently has more than 300 million speakers.

Women and youth will have their place.

In this context, the summit that will take place for the first time outside of the capital Tunis, should constitute a turning point in the history of the Francophonie and a qualitative leap in the Francophone project. It will deal with a new and current topic that responds to the requirements and aspirations of development, employability and prosperity.

President Ramkalawan will leave the Seychelles on Wednesday, November 16 and will return on November 25, 2022.
