Africa-Press – Seychelles. It was a perfect arc yesterday afternoon while passersby near the Yacht Club marina in Victoria gasped in awe at the sight of a rainbow.

Rainbows, which are considered a symbol of hope in many cultures, bring delight to children and adults alike.

Yesterday’s beautiful sight occurred shortly after 4pm, mesmerising people stepping out from work.

Rainbows are formed when light from the sun is scattered by water droplets through a process called refraction. Refraction occurs when the light from the sun changes direction when passing through a medium denser than air, such as a raindrop.
