Africa-Press – Seychelles. Philippe was implicated at the inception of the association in 2018 but later became more actively involved. In 2019, he was appointed assistant secretary, a job that he took to heart, carrying out his tasks in an efficient and conscientious manner. He was dedicated and always present on all fronts working tirelessly to ensure that the members of our vulnerable blind and visually deficient community were represented at the forefront of all pertinent fora. Over the last two years he made a huge contribution to the development of the association providing valuable support and assistance for which Sabvi is extremely grateful.
With his bible The Geneva Convention on the rights of the persons with disabilities, Philippe had a dream to pursue educational options for the non-sighted and visually-impaired children in close collaboration with the Ministry of Education so they would reach their full potential. However, this was not meant to be.
Phillipe you have left a gap in our midst but your hard work will help us forge ahead and fulfill our goals. Sabvi wishes to extend its sincere condolences to his family at their sad loss.

Homage des sœurs de Philippe
Philippe was a very dynamic and cheerful little boy. He likes to run, do acrobatics and of course tease his sisters, like all little boys…
He left the small town where we lived to study engineering in Paris, his military service at Saint Cyr.
He then traveled around the world for his work for many years.
Everywhere he stayed, he left friends, people to whom he listened and helped when he could, as he did for this family.
In recent years, he has invested himself without counting in several Seychellois associations, in new professional projects at the service of the Seychelles, as well as bringing his work force and love to the people.
He gave his time and shared his knowledge to advance the association of the deaf, he did not hesitate to learn to sign.
He also accompanied with efficiency and benevolence the association SABVI creating sincere and unbreakable links with some of its members.
One of his very dear friends wrote something that sums up, in my opinion, this life very well: “All humanity exists in the heart of Philippe”.
We are his three sisters Agnès, Karine and Fabienne. Despite our scattering in the world and sometimes irregular contacts, each in our own way, we love our brother and keep them forever in our heart.
Philippe, we will miss you.
