Africa-Press – Seychelles. The Office of the President has announced the appointment of the board of several entities.
They are the Public Utilities Corporation (PUC), Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA), Seychelles Ports Authority (SPA) and Public Health Authority (PHA).
Members of the Public Health Appeals board have also been appointed.
Meanwhile all members of the Seychelles Fishing Authority (SFA) board have been re-appointed.
PUC
Stephen Rousseau is the new chairperson of the PUC board and Dilip Shah the vice-chairperson.
The other members are: Joel Valmont (CEO/member [ex-officio]), Irene Croisée, Nanette Laure, Taryn Auguste, Bertrand Belle, Ingrid Sinon, Mike Tirant and Naddy Banane.
The board members have been appointed for a 3-year period effective February 1, 2024.
SCAA
Wilfred Fock Tave is the new chairperson and Sherin Francis the new vice-chairperson of the SCAA board.
The other members are: Garry Albert (CEO/member [ex- officio]), Kelly Naidoo, Yannick Roucou, Noella Brioche, Estelle Alexis and Jules Sinon.
The board members have been appointed for a 3-year period effective February 1, 2024.
SPA
Brian Loveday is the acting chairperson of the new SPA board.
The other board members are:Sony Payet (CEO/member [ex-officio]), Audrey Francis, Philipe Hoareau, Dr Jan Robinson, Florence Marengo and Mervin Lesperance.
The board members have been appointed for a 3-year period effective February 1, 2024.
Public Health Authority & Public Health Appeals Board
Dr Conrad Shamlaye has been re-appointed as the chairperson and Jude Shroff as the new vice-chairperson of the new Public Health Authority (PHA) board.
The other members are: Dr Jimmy Melanie, Victor Pool, Monica Servina, Rodney Philo and Zarine Udwadia.
The members of the Public Health Appeals board are: Shireen Denys, Rosie Morel and Vereine Louis-Marie.
In accordance with Section 22 (6) of the Public Health Authority Act, 2013, the members of the Appeals Board shall elect among themselves a chairperson.
The members of both boards have been appointed for a 3-year period effective January 1, 2024.
SFA
The current board of the SFA has been re-appointed.
The full composition of the board is as follows: Radley Weber (chairperson), Aubrey Harris (vice-chairperson), Jan Robinson (CEO/member [ex-officio]), Antoine Barbe, Roy Clarisse, Beatty Hoareau, Marc Gonthier, Joseph Tirant and Franky Laporte (members).
The board members have been re-appointed for a 3-year period effective February 8, 2024.
The President has thanked the outgoing members of all the boards for their period of tenure.
