Africa-Press – Seychelles. As part of the local campaign to encourage and promote productivity in the workplace, representatives from the Productivity Unit of the Ministry of Employment and Social Affairs yesterday conducted an awareness session with employees of the Seychelles Revenue Commission (SRC).
The aim was to sensitise employees on the need for constructive work attitudes for the personal benefit of the employee, the organisation and the economy at large.
The insightful half-day session held in close collaboration with SRC’s human resource development team, gathered a total of fifteen employees hailing from various areas of SRC. Facilitated by the head of the Productivity Unit of the Ministry of Employment and Social Affairs, Maryvonne Francis, the session provided the participants with a conscientious explanation on different topics related to productivity in the workplace, covering the importance of productivity in relation to the economic development of a country, the rights, responsibilities and appropriate ethics one must adhere to at the workplace, as well as the need to deliver and maintain good customer service.
Following this session, SRC anticipates to see a boost in performance across its organisation including further improvement in its customer service, an important component of the organisations’ strategy in improving its business-to-customer relationship.
To note a total of fifty-eight SRC officers have attended the productivity session to date since its introduction to the organisation in April 2021.
The SRC has thanked the Productivity Unit from the Ministry of Employment and Social Affairs for its continuous support and looks forward to working on more collaborative sessions in areas centered on employee’s development at the workplace in the future.
