Africa-Press – Seychelles. The Seychelles Trading Company has been notified by two of its international suppliers ‒ supplier of Kinder Surprise Chocolate ‒ that there might be a batch of products which has been recalled from the market.

The following details reflect feedback as received from the supplier:

v KINDER SURPRISE CHOCOLATE – Recall due to a possible link to reported cases of salmonella

Batch No’s: L344RZB-MV, L347RZB-MV, L348R03, L005L03, L006L03, L010L03

It has been confirmed by an official statement from the suppliers that our travel retail business has not been affected and none of these mentioned products have tested positive for salmonella.

However, as per recommendation by the supplier, as a precautionary measure, STC has already removed this batch of product from its shops.

There has also been mention in the international news of a possible link to contamination of the E coli Bacteria in Buitoni frozen pizza.

It is to be noted that in the case of Buitoni Frozen Pizza, STC does not have any actual stock of this product, meaning that STC does not import this product.

Having had a well-established relationship with its suppliers, built on trust over the years, STC reassures its customers that all in-house food safety measures are taken seriously and that the company trusts in their quality control systems, hence the long-term relationship between both parties. STC apologises for the inconvenience this may cause and would like to thank its customers for their understanding.
