The United Seychelles party has categorically condemned the incident that happened on Thursday, September 15, at the old Kan Gard housing estate in the district of Plaisance, where military officers were involved in an operation to search for illegal drugs and where some residents suffered some injuries.
This political party said this through a communique dated September 17, 2022.
“The United Seychelles party is against and will always be against illegal drug trafficking, but it condemns the practice of using the military in the operation to search for illegal drugs. Such operations must be carried out strictly by the Seychellois Police Force, following the intelligence collected and under the protocols and procedures established by law, while respecting the human rights of all Seychellois citizens,” United Seychelles wrote in its communique.
