Africa-Press – Seychelles. The Maternity Unit of the Seychelles Hospital welcomed three newborns on January 1, 2023, with the first female baby born at 1.08am and the second baby, a male at 6.13am.
Baby Malia was the third to be delivered at 5.18pm. The healthy baby weighed 4kgs and according to her mother Selma Morel, she had to be delivered by c-section. Malia is Ms Morel’s second child, after her first born who is a boy.
The 27-year-old said both she and the baby are fine and are expected to leave the hospital today.
It should be noted that the first baby born on January is admitted in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit while the mother of the second one did not want to speak to press for religious reasons.
