Africa-Press – Seychelles. The President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, has commended Seychelles for its support for regional peace and security and its dedication to human rights, “which are a reflection of strong democratic values”.
This comes in a message from the US President to President Wavel Ramkalawan on the occasion of Seychelles’ 46th Independence anniversary celebrated yesterday, June 29.
President Biden’s message reads:
“Dear Mr President,
“On behalf of the United States of America, congratulations on Seychelles’ 46th anniversary of independence.
“The United States appreciates your support for regional peace and security and your dedication to human rights, which are a reflection of strong democratic values.
“We look forward to furthering our partnership with many more years of cooperation.
“My best wishes to you and to all Seychellois on this special day.”
