Africa-Press – Seychelles. “…in our hands”
Wavel Ramkalawan spoke on a Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) program last Saturday. “The year 2022 has already gone down in history (…) 2022 is a book already written and 2023 offers us this new page on which to write another year of our personal history, the history of our country and the history of the world,” he said in remarks transcribed by Seychelles News Agency.
The Seychellois President also said that each person will write on each page of 2023, running from January 1 to December 31. “The majority of things will be in our hands, but there will also be chapters that will be written for us, and beyond our control,” he said. Therefore, Mr Ramkalawan demanded that the Seychellois do “as well as possible” with everything in their control.
“Let’s love our country even more”
The Head of State calls on Seychellois to be more patriotic. He notably developed: “Let us love our country even more. Let us consider it as our mother, forever recognizing that when we strengthen our country and put ourselves at its service, it gives us so much more”. For him, “the more we elevate our country, the more we, Seychellois, as a nation, we will elevate”.
In conclusion Wavel Ramkalawan assured that he wanted to give all his energy to work for all Seychellois children, and to “make us progress as much as possible”. According to him, we must continue together on “this road for the love of our beautiful country, the Seychelles”.
