Work to remove unstable boulder in Le Niole starts today

Africa-Press – Seychelles. The Disaster Risk Management Division reminds the public that work to remove the unstable boulder in Le Niole (before PUC waterworks) starts today, Wednesday February 21, 2024.

In a press release issued yesterday, the Disaster Risk Management Division (DRMD) said the essential task is projected to last over a period of six weeks.

“To facilitate this operation, the affected portion of the road will be temporarily closed from 8am to 4.30pm, Monday through Saturday, effective from February 21, 2024,” read the press release.

“The division recognises the potential inconvenience to daily commutes and expresses its gratitude for the public’s cooperation and understanding during this critical operation.”

The DRMD said it acknowledges the collective effort required for the success of the work undertaken and apologises for any inconveniences caused during the execution of this operation.
