Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. Sierra Leone’s Deputy Minister of Justice, Madam Saptieu Elizabeth Saccoh, has officially arrived in Geneva as preparations begin for the Sixty-Sixth Session of the Assemblies of the Member States of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The assemblies are set to take place from July 8 to July 17, 2025.
Madam Saccoh, leading Sierra Leone’s delegation, is poised to engage in crucial discussions with international counterparts and senior officials from various governments and organizations.
Those engagements are notably aimed to promote collaboration and establish Sierra Leone as a key player in global efforts to enhance intellectual property rights, which are essential for fostering sustainable economic growth.
Joining Madam Saccoh on the important mission is Ms. Martina Baindu Egbenda, the Administrator and Registrar General of the Office of the Administrator and Registrar General. Their presence notably reflects the significance of Sierra Leone’s participation in global forums.
Upon her arrival in Geneva, Madam Saccoh was received by Mr. Edward Kawa, Head of Chancery and Sierra Leone’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva, along with staff members from the Sierra Leone Mission.
