Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. Minister of Information and Civil Education, Chernoh Bah, on Tuesday, 22nd July 2025, held a courtesy engagement with the Chinese Ambassador to Sierra Leone following the signing of a $5 million Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Diming Yimo Printing Company.
The meeting, held at the Minister’s office, aimed to strengthen bilateral cooperation and explore opportunities arising from the new partnership, which is expected to enhance printing and publishing services in Sierra Leone.
According to Minister Bah ‘’ I had the honour of briefing the Chinese Ambassador to Sierra Leone, His Excellency Wang Qing, on our recent official visit to China and the signing of a landmark $5 million MoU with Diming Yimo Printing Company’’
He stated that during the courtesy call at his office, Ambassador Wang congratulated us on a successful mission and a transformative agreement to modernize Sierra Leone’s Government Printing Press.
Minister Bah described the partnership as a strategic milestone in fulfilling President Julius Maada Bio’s vision for digital transformation and industrial growth. “This groundbreaking deal will help us bring Sierra Leone’s printing industry into the 21st century,” he remarked, highlighting its potential to meet local needs and increase government revenue.
He reaffirmed China’s commitment to expediting the implementation of the MoU fully and to deepening cooperation and investment opportunities between our two countries.
I expressed sincere appreciation for his invaluable support in facilitating this visit and for China’s continued friendship and partnership in advancing Sierra Leone’s development goals. ‘’We Are Delivering, Salone Big Pas Wi All’’ he stated as he concluded.
