President Bio and Togo's Leader Discuss Regional Cooperation

Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. President Julius Maada Bio has met with his Togolese counterpart, His Excellency Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, in Togo to discuss strengthening regional cooperation aimed at boosting security and economic prosperity within the West African subregion.

In his capacity as Chairperson of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), President Bio reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with member states to deepen regional integration and reinforce the bloc’s collective efforts.

“We are committed to strengthening regional cooperation for heightened security and economic prosperity in our regional bloc,” President Bio stated, adding that he will continue engaging leaders to advance ECOWAS’s vision of a stable, prosperous, and united West Africa.

The meeting underscores the leaders’ shared goal of fostering peace, stability, and sustainable growth in the face of evolving regional challenges.
