Ministry of Health Warns Against Fake Recruitment Payments

Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Ministry of Health has reminded the general public that the ongoing online recruitment of 3,000 health workers is completely free of charge.

In a public notice, the Ministry emphasized that any request for payment during the application process is fraudulent and punishable by law. “The recruitment is totally free. Any notice asking people to pay for the application process is fake,” the Ministry warned.

The online recruitment portal was officially launched to streamline the hiring process, making it faster, more transparent, and efficient. The platform represents a significant milestone in Sierra Leone’s healthcare development efforts, as it expands access to quality healthcare and strengthens health systems.

Officials say the initiative also contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-Being, by moving the country closer to universal health coverage.

Interested applicants are encouraged to apply through the official online portal at https://recruitment.mohs.gov.sl/

The Ministry further urged citizens to remain vigilant, avoid falling victim to scams, and report any suspected fraudulent activities linked to the recruitment exercise.
