Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. First Lady Fatima Bio delivered an inspiring keynote address at the grand opening of Olive B Academy, urging girls to take their studies seriously and pursue their ambitions without distraction.

“Looking at the faces of the kids, I see the Sierra Leone of tomorrow—doctors, engineers, actresses, scientists, entrepreneurs, and even presidents,” she said, highlighting the potential she sees in the next generation.

She also addressed parents, community leaders, and security personnel, urging collective support for the academy and its students. The First Lady acknowledged the efforts of the school’s founders, Olive B and her husband, noting the importance of investing in education for long-term societal progress.

The Olive B Academy is set to welcome students from Sierra Leone as well as neighboring countries like Ghana and Nigeria. In her remarks, Fatima Bio linked the school’s opening to broader initiatives, including her ongoing construction of a 600-bed hospital aimed at improving healthcare access within the country.

“Today, we unveil not just walls and rooms, but dreams and hope,” she said, underscoring the message that every girl in Sierra Leone deserves opportunities to reach her full potential.
