Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. President Julius Maada Bio has held high-level bilateral talks with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, on the margins of the World Governments Summit 2026.
The engagement culminated in the witnessing of the signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), a landmark deal aimed at deepening economic relations between Sierra Leone and the UAE.
According to President Bio, the discussions were productive and focused on expanding cooperation across key sectors critical to mutual growth and development.
The CEPA is expected to open new opportunities for trade, investment, and strategic collaboration, reinforcing Sierra Leone’s efforts to strengthen international partnerships and attract foreign direct investment.
